Bill Gates posted a question on the social networking jobsite, LinkedIn.
"How can we do more to encourage young people to pursue careers in science and technology?"
So far, there are over 3000 answers posted by various people, including CEOs and other company leaders.
The topic is one of great interest. Bill Gates has recently been asked about children and technology in third world countries.
LinkedIn isn't being considered for purchase. It's still a privately-held company. Microsoft was unsuccessful last month at acquiring Yahoo.
In February, Bill Gates unveiled a software giveaway for students at Stanford University.
"We want to do everything we can to equip a new generation of technology leaders with the knowledge and tools they need to harness the magic of software to improve lives, solve problems and catalyze economic growth," he said.
